How much tea does it actually hold? The cup holds a comfortable 200ml, which is a generous single serving of chai, coffee, or an evening herbal brew, and the matching saucer keeps your spoon and a small biscuit close at hand.

To care for it, a rinse in warm water with a soft sponge keeps the glaze bright. It is dishwasher friendly, and warming your tea in the microwave is perfectly fine.

• Avoid abrasive scrubbers and harsh chemical cleaners.
• Avoid sudden temperature changes (e.g. freezer straight to microwave).
• Small variations in colour and form are natural, the mark of a handmade piece.
