Description
Some cups just make you smile before the first sip. This pink heart cup and saucer carries a scatter of raised, embossed hearts across a soft pink glaze, each one pressed and finished by hand in our Pune studio. It brings a little lightness to an ordinary tea break.
Are the hearts painted on or part of the cup? The hearts are embossed straight into the clay, so they are raised in the surface rather than printed. That means they will not fade or wash away, and you can feel them under your fingertips as you hold the cup.

Since each set is shaped and glazed by hand, the pink can settle a touch deeper or lighter from one piece to the next, and the hearts sit a little differently each time. No two are identical, which is exactly what makes a handmade set feel personal. It is a sweet gift for someone you are fond of, or a small treat to keep for yourself.
Looking after it is easy. Wash with a soft sponge and warm water, or pop it in the dishwasher, and it heats gently in the microwave whenever your tea has gone cold.
